Firsthand Experience On How To Treat PMDD Holistically

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) causes havoc in the lives of sufferers. The rollercoaster of emotions can be so extreme that some women attempt suicide – being a PMDD warrior and a transitioning nationalist, I try my best to treat my pmdd naturally. Today I will share how I treat my PMDD.

Noticing PMDD

First and most important is noticing my PMDD symptoms. The highs and lows of PMDD can impact daily living. For example, I experience rage, depression, and feeling overwhelmed with PMDD. Spending days in bed, I will not work or engage in usual activities. I become bitchy or withdraw from close friends and family; once noticing my symptoms, I will force myself to do something that will make me happy.

Pocket Full of Sunshine

Next, having PMDD can make you feel like a different person. The beach is my happy place. The beach is where I go to recharge and refocus. I will spend hours at the beach watching and listening to the waves, playing in the sand, sitting alongside the shore, and staying at the beach until I feel recentered and like myself again.

Although, if I can’t go to the beach, I will go outside and spend some time in the sun. Out on my deck or driving around town to change my scenery. Physical exercise is another way to boost your mood. I don’t exercise, but I will take long walks with my dog to release some endorphins.

Rest

Rest is necessary during PMDD episodes. By resting, I can provide myself with time to think. To clear my head and regain my thoughts. It’s like giving my body and mind a break, a period to recharge or find the energy to participate in life.

Finally, cannabis is the miracle plant that assists with my PMDD symptoms. Whenever I notice my emotions being erratic and sporadic, I use cannabis. Smoking cannabis is the quickest way to relax my mood. Since the effects are instant, I can quickly regain control over my emotions. It is good to know the terpenes in your cannabis. You want a strain that will uplift you and not create any more anxiety or depression.

Treating PMDD

Overall, treating PMDD can be a challenge. PMDD affects sufferers differently, so find a remedy that works for you. As a naturalist, I try to keep my treatment holistic. However, what works best for me may not be what works best for you. Take your time. Experiment with different treatment options – alternative and modern medicine. Speak with your provider, ask questions, and consult with others with PMDD. Most importantly, keep moving forward! Keep your head up and know that everything will be okay.
